Maybe I’m odd, but I cringe slightly when people call THEMSELVES experts. It could be that it “seems” like they are saying they are better than others? Although, I think the main reason is that I don’t think any one can ever be a true expert in anything. Things always change, there is always new concepts or technologies, ect. ect. ect. ect.
But this post is not about that, this post is about how you can be SEEN as the expert. Which I think is a much better position. Your not flaunting yourself as the know-it-all, other people will be doing that for you. Frankly it makes you look more humble. And I guarantee, so many more people will spread the word about you.
Thing is, there is a pretty easy way of getting to the point of being seen as an expert, or an authority.
But you might not like it.
You become an expert by doing. Simple huh? Not fun because it takes work.
Seriously, there are far too many people talking and not enough people doing. Far too many people selling what they “think” works, or what other people told them works. Can’t say I have not been guilty of that myself.

Yes, I know, it’s very simplistic.
By doing, you know what works and what doesn’t. You have the facts and not the Guess. You have the proof because you did it. Not only have you learned, but you should have earned as well. Course if your not earning, you need to go back to more “doing”.
There is a positive side effect to this as well. When your “doing”, you now have ready-made products. People consume your products, they will see you as the expert, they will be telling others your the expert. No more need to put “expert” in your Twitter Bio or Google+ profile.
Enough doing and you’ll have a ever expanding product line that is 100% unique that people can only get it from you.
